Baptism
Baptizo (βαπτίζω) — “to immerse, to dip, or to baptize”
Baptism is the outward expression of the inward reality of salvation in Jesus Christ. It’s a uniting with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection—a powerful experience and a bold declaration of faith.
At Crossland, we look to Romans 6:4:
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
Baptism begins with being fully convinced that we have accepted Christ—and that He has accepted us. It’s important to understand:
Baptism doesn’t save you—only Jesus does. However, it can transform you as a bold step of obedience and a public declaration of new life.
It’s a moment of obedience, surrender, and identity. It’s where private faith becomes public witness.
We’ve been blessed to baptize many at Crossland—and each story has inspired others to take that step too.
